The jury

An international jury of experts in the field will judge all entries according to the principles of Design for All.

The experts in the jury will be assisted by a preliminary jury comprised of members of the board of the European Institute for Design for All in Germany (EDAD). The jury will provide specific expert feedback on all nominated and winning products with a view to improving Design for All in future product developments.

Jury moderator

Mathias Knigge,
Chairman of the EDAD European Institute of Design for All in Germany (Europäisches Institut Design für Alle in Deutschland e.V.)

Jury members

Consumers

Prof. Dr. Ursula Lehr,
Vice-president of the German Association of Organisations for Senior Citizens (BAGSO Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft der Senioren-Organisationen e.V.) and former German Federal Minister.

“Much still needs to be done to make our living environments consumer-friendly and usable by all age groups, and particularly the elderly. The idea of a ‘bathroom for all ages’ is a new and eminently sensible design concept, and BAGSO welcomes this initiative as a way of motivating people to take a forward-thinking approach to modernising their bathrooms.”
